Abdominal Therapy for Professionals ~ level one

It's been two years and I'm so excited to be back teaching this amazing work again. Join me for the start of a new way to treat your patients and clients!

This experiential, professional-level class focuses on the anterior portion of Abdominal Therapy as presented by the Abdominal Therapy Collective, Inc. (ATC), and works holistically with body, mind, and spirit. This training is open to all professional therapists who hold a qualification in anatomy and physiology and are able to perform massage on clients within the legal requirements of their state or country. This hybrid class (both virtual and in person) will enable you to share the anterior element of the work created by Dr. Rosita Arvigo with your clients. The class will be taught primarily in-person with a few hours pre and post class virtual prep and follow up. Please note that the in-person class will be held in Santa Cruz, California and facilitates sharing of the therapy protocol on yourself and other students, as well as an in-depth exploration of anatomy and physiology as it relates to Abdominal Therapy. By the end of this class, you will be fully qualified to work with clients and to teach individuals the Abdominal Therapy Collective’s unique Your Abdominal Massage (YAM) for their – and your - continuing health improvement. The Abdominal Therapy Collective is a NCBTMB approved continuing educator provider and this course offers 28 CE credits. While Abdominal Therapy for the anterior body is an effective stand-alone treatment, it is highly recommended that you also complete Part 2, which allows both you and your client a greater insight and opportunity for whole body health. The Part 2 class in California has not had a date set yet. You’ll learn: • The history and lineage of the Abdominal Therapy Collective • How to perform Your Abdominal Massage (YAM) • Abdominal and pelvic anatomy and physiology • Common signs and symptoms of pelvic and abdominal conditions • How to perform Abdominal Therapy on your client’s anterior body • The importance of the emotional body on physical function • How to complete Your Health Story consultation form and how to use it with clients • How to apply supportive techniques for specific pelvic and abdominal conditions • How to teach your client YAM and other supportive modalities. • How the Abdominal Therapy Collective supports you to grow your practice On completion, you’ll receive from the Abdominal Therapy Collective: • Certificate of attendance • One-year membership in the Abdominal Therapy Collective (for new members only) • Access to our extensive educational resources • Access to Visible Body Human Anatomy Atlas - download for personal use • Ongoing professional support • Access to our clinical advisory circle • Listing on our website • Eligibility to attend Part 2 of the Abdominal Therapy professional training for posterior treatments Your financial investment in this class is $950.
