Jump in That Bath
I’ve been noticing a lot of memes lately that disparagingly refer to baths in the context of self care, and how self care is not just about baths.
While I believe I understand the gist of the message, I’m here to say that a bath can often be just the thing to begin to “wash away” the stresses, frustrations, pains, et al, that we tend to carry with us.
So please, dear one, if all you have the bandwidth for is a soak in the bath, DO IT. You may be pleasantly surprised at how good it can be.
Go ahead, reset your parasympathetic nervous system, reduce the cortisol dump, relieve the strain on your adrenals - you are so worth it.
